Property Location
The committee acquired a property situated at the intersection of Lyall Street and Warwick Avenue, specifically at the southwest corner of the Hospital and PCH block. The property measures 193” x 160” (30,880 sq. ft.) and is ready to be developed.
Proposed Plans
Designing a Solid Foundation
With the property acquisition completed, the planning has progressed to the next phase. After reviewing various clinic sizes and consulting with Prairie Mountain Health advisors and Glenboro Health Practitioners, we are proceeding with plans to build a facility 3,000 to 4,000 square feet in size to accommodate three to four health practitioners.
Securing Funding
There has been extensive discussion on funding for this new venture. The key to success is to acquire the needed resources, through actively pursuing grants and donations from a range of sources including local, provincial, and federal governments, as well as private corporations and individuals.
The Power of People
Building Stronger Communities Through Active Municipal Involvement
Healthcare maintenance is crucial for all neighbouring communities in the area. It is unrealistic to expect residents to travel more than 30 minutes in rural Manitoba. A proposed joint effort with surrounding communities is critical to keep healthcare services localized and available for all residents.
Vision
Our vision is “To meet health needs, and provide comprehensive care for individuals, families, and communities.”
